Experience

Before joining Evolve Therapy Group, Hande worked in various domestic violence and sexual assault centers and specialized in sexual abuse/assault. She had her internship at YWCA of Kalamazoo and worked as an Emergency Response Advocate. There, she dealt directly with survivors of sexual assault and provided clinical therapy support.

After graduating from Western Michigan University with her master’s degree, Hande worked as a Sexual Assault Therapist at Relief After Violent Encounter – I/M in Ionia, MI, for two years. At this location, she provided individual and group therapy to help assist survivors in overcoming interpersonal abuse and adjusting to life in the aftermath of trauma.

Hande also has experience working with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, domestic abuse, and women’s issues. She values working with clients from various cultural backgrounds and likes to consider all aspects of her client’s worldview when choosing therapeutic modalities.

In her free time, Hande enjoys long walks outside in nature, spending time with friends and family, and reading psychological thriller books.
