Experience

Before joining Evolve Therapy Group, I worked for five years in a sub-acute detox and residential facility for adults struggling with substance use disorders. During this time, I also worked in an outpatient clinic that specialized in substance abuse and co-occurring disorders treatment. My primary focus has been working with individuals, couples, and families who have a loved one struggling with substance abuse issues and addressing the impact these issues have on the entire family system. I am skilled in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, marital issues, relationship concerns, substance abuse issues, and previous traumatic experiences. I have experience providing individual, group, couple, and family therapy in an inpatient and outpatient setting.

I believe in the innate capabilities, strength, and wellness of my clients and that the counseling relationship provides the basis from which change can occur. My approach is to walk beside you and validate your personal experiences and invite you to make changes based on your priorities and values. Working together, we will focus on your goals and help you discover the strengths you already possess and the tools you need to find realistic solutions that will meet the goals you establish. I enjoy working with clients of all races, religions, abilities, gender identities, and sexual orientations and understand the importance of my client’s worldview when selecting therapeutic interventions. I understand it can be scary to take the first steps and believe you can achieve your goals. By working together, we can find the path that works for you to heal and grow in all areas of your life.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing with my two rescued retired racing greyhounds, Pippa and Grinch, and studying and reenacting medieval history.
